KBA’s team of architects collaborated with the Rhode Island State Police to perform master planning services for the facilities operated, controlled, and occupied by the Rhode Island State Police Department. During the course of the Master Planning process, it was determined that 3 existing barracks sites should be consolidated into one Southern Barracks to be centrally located for call/service volume. The new campus will also include a training facility with classroom space, as well as physical training areas, challenge/exercise courses, a shooting range, overnight bunk rooms, and kitchen facilities that will enable in-depth and intensive training over a number of days and environmental conditions.
