The North Acton Fire Station #4 is a prime example of a building that meets both the specific needs of the fire department and the neighborhood it serves. This state-of-the-art facility offers many features that ensure firefighters can efficiently respond to emergencies while prioritizing their well-being.

Training venues within the facility allow members to participate in regular skill-enhancing exercises, further increasing preparedness.
Living quarters have modern HVAC systems, providing firefighters with a comfortable work environment a short distance from operations through air-locked passages. These attributes enable firefighters to concentrate on critical tasks without compromising their health and environment.

Apparatus bays are designed to house today’s larger firefighting vehicles while maintaining safe clearances. Firematic support spaces surround the three bays, ensuring quick access to and maintenance of crucial tools and supplies. These features enable more effective response times during emergencies.  Energy-efficient and sustainable features, such as Solar panels on the roof and a geothermal heat pump system, significantly reduce the station’s reliance on carbon-based energy sources and contribute to considerably lower utility bills. The front apparatus bay are both energy-efficient and operate quickly. The four-fold doors minimize energy waste, reflecting the station’s overall commitment to sustainable practices.

The North Acton Fire Station is a testament to forward-thinking, sustainable design and to the Town’s dedication to providing the best possible facilities to serve its residents.
