The project consists of the renovation of an existing Lowell Police Station sally port into a new 911 call center and Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The new centralized location combines the two departments and quadruples the space available to the call center and EOC making it easier to communicate, plan, and coordinate between departments. The new location increases the number of available 911 dispatch seats to seven with state-of-the art communication equipment, an office for the director and storage. The EOC includes one main conference and coordination room with an attached smaller conference room and space for EOC support equipment storage. Both the 911 dispatch and EOC open to a break area for the staff.
