The new, single-story facility is located across from the Hudson Fire Headquarters, creating a municipal campus along with a transfer station located behind the new facility. Kaestle Boos met with representatives of the both the police and DPW departments to review and refine the existing space needs program. An analysis of the existing site was also conducted to confirm it could support this specialized type of facility. The police program includes a secure prisoner processing and detention area, secure evidence processing and storage, offices, roll call room, dispatch center, and training/community room. The DPW program includes offices, conference rooms, a vault, shop space for the water department, and storage.
