KBA designed a new police station for the City of Beverly located on a parcel directly in front of the Cummings Center in downtown Beverly. The design of the facility is responsive to the neighborhood, encompassing elements of the surrounding architecture including the Elliott Landing condominium complex located next to the new station.
The building was constructed slab on grade and the site at the building was raised 5 feet to avoid any flooding due to its proximity to the Bass River, which is tidal. The 3-story building will focus on renewable energy, including geothermal and photovoltaic panels.
