The compact but efficient school features a cafetorium with full-size kitchen and serving area, gymnasium, computer lab, and an art room with a kiln. The classroom wing surrounds a bright media center along with an interior courtyard filled with native flowers and shrubs. Two playgrounds, one for older students and one for younger students, were also designed. Stormwater was also captured and reused to irrigate the parking lot islands, reducing the need for additional water. The project was completed approximately $2 million under budget.
